Proud to be a Twilight fan

I love it how so many articles are popping out defending people who actually like Twilight (and aren't afraid to say so). Enough with the labelling of Twilight fans or Twi-hards or even people who express slight interest in the series. I see nothing wrong in liking the Twilight saga, the books or the movies, and declaring it. There are many reasons why Twilight fans like the series, I for one like the beautiful story from the books and watching it come to live in the movies. And i'm not ashamed to say so, at least its better than decieving yourself and others that it sucks just because you don't want to be labelled.

If you read the Sunday Times, Lifesyle section, 29 Nov 09 (yesterday)... There is a great article by Fiona Chan which is worth reading and the part i like the most states:

It made me realise that too often, we choose what is socially acceptable, or what feels comfortable, over something that makes our heart beat faster but appears to have little practical value.
But in an age where it is uncool to express excessive interest in anything, there is a refreshing liberation in being able to worship something in abandon.

New Moon officially opens here on Thurs. *squeal*
